Setting up service network . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . done modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting hw_random (/lib/modules/2.6.4-54.5-default/kernel/drivers/char/hw_random.ko): No such device
I myself have a boot problem with SuSE 9.1 (LiveCD though); I don't have the
error message at hand but it was a modprobe: FATAL ERROR concerning the aic7xxx
module. I must say I was trying to run SuSE 9.1 LiveCD in VMware.
Any ideas are welcome.

Despite the word "FATAL" in this message this is a cosmetical issue only. And if you're lucky this message will not show up anymore with the latest kernel update (YaST Online Update).
