Which Graphics Card - ATI 9000 or Sapphire 9500?
I have decided to purchase one of the following for my new PC on which I will be running SuSE 9 Profesional: ATI RADEON 9000 PRO AGP 8x 128MB http://www.epinions.com/pr-Graphics_Cards_ATI_RADEON_9000_PRO_Graphics_card_... Sapphire RADEON 9000 Atlantis Pro AGP 4x 128MB (The detail suggests that it is a 9500) http://tweaktown.dealtime.com/xPO-Sapphire_Technology_20740803#fulldesc Which would y'all recommend with SuSE 9 Pro and why, please? I'd like to order one of the two this evening based on informed counsel. Thanks! dmc

Doc, I would go with the "real" ATI card, if pricing is not too different. Plus, if you are building a new system with 8x AGP, no reason not to use it. I don't think ATI made a 9500 card/chip, 9200, 9600, 9700, 9800, but don't remember a 9500. The 9000 should setup and run fine for you, as it has been supported from SuSE 8.2 in XFree86.
