I recently had to run reiserfsck --rebuild-tree, and some of KDE's standard sounds (eg. shade and unshade sounds) got deleted. I am having great difficulty in finding which RPM contains these so that I can reinstall them. I have tried reinstalling basically everything that contains kde and multimedia or kde and sound. Any pointers to the RPM that contains these files would be greatly appreciated. Mike Sacco

Hello, I'm only familar with formatting in Windows. I have a area of my 2nd drive partioined/formated with old data I no longer need. Rather than just delete the tons of files/folders, I just figured I'd reformat it. I don't want to change its fstab entry, or repartion it. Should this be done in yast2? If so how? Or is the CL better? If so how? Thanks in advance, -Trey

I think you can do it in yast but have a look at man mkfs. Very easy syntax, nothing to it. cheers, Marcel
