You are using factory, factory at times has issues. If you are on a required system I would recommend going to the Compiz Fusion online repo and updating from there. Ben -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Do not ever use Factory with any stable release. Use X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.3 repo. See the release announcements of 11.0, it has details about rpm payload changing to lzma. That is the one I always use, or more precisely: download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.3/ and I get the same. I also get other errors at times. They float around a bit. Sometimes it looks like it wants a newer glibc than the one that comes with 10.3. I expect a bit of fun when doing this, so I just accept it and wait. Compiz has been odd for a week or two. In the process, it broke my previously working compiz. No panic as I only use it for fun. But I, too, look forward to a compiz suite that will actually install on 10.3.

Packages from that repository must install on 10.3 without any issues, check zypper sl and make sure you do not have any "Factory" repositories enabled, after that try 1-click from the above repo.

No, but it makes it impossible to install factory packages on 10.3 by mistake :) -J -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

As of last night, installing any compiz stuff stops with: Subprocess failed. paste the output of : zypper -v sl I suspect you are trying to use Factory repo to install on 10.3. Cheers -J -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I suspect you are trying to use Factory repo to install on 10.3.
Very odd. You are correct. It is not odd that you are correct. It is odd that I see Factory is specified. When I reported the repo on this list yesterday, I did a cut and paste from zypper. And it was for 10.3. Today it says Factory. I must be losing my mind. I have only one system tracking compiz, so I did not look at the wrong system. I need a vacation. And maybe a drink... I will now see what has happened. Like a sign of spring, this is a sign that 10.3 is moving into old age. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O. Oddly, I have the wlan factory. My wireless has always worked great, so I wonder what I was thinking with that one. But there are no other factory references.
An this effects the 10.3 repository?
