[opensuse] powersaved on a server

Yes you can disable it. (Assuming your machine boots to the power save state that you desire (presumably full power). You can just fiddle with the profile to accomplish the same thing. There is still some power savings to be had by allowing the cpu to be throttled back in quiet periods. More than a few bucks a year. In a server farm this translates to lower cooling needs as well. Power saving has gotten much smarter and seems to interfere less than old version.
