[opensuse] Strange URL
On a website I have accessed there is a link to a video (having to do with current events) that I want to see. The link points to mms://62.90.26.195/live/. Firefox returns an error message telling me that it doesn't know with what application to open this URL. Does someone know what this thing is? And how to view the clip? -- Stan Goodman Qiryat Tiv'on Israel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It's probably a Microsoft Media Server stream (an older streaming media format). MPlayer supports this format.... as does Kaffine, VLC, Xine, etc. If it won't play in the browser, you might have success loading the URL into MPLayer etc.... I tried to view this in Win XP, and it opened Media player, but then hung. There must be something wrong with the site. --dm -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
