Nick, Have you had a really good go with Gimp? I was put off by its lack-of-photoshopness at first, but once you get into it it's a powerful piece of kit. There's an excellent tutorial / book called 'grokking the gimp' that comes on the suse disks too, and is available over the web.

Ya know, I have been using it more and more and have been overly impressed with its capabilities. And particularly that it starts up in the blink of an eye. But when deadlines loom, sometimes it's nice to just go back to what I have used since 1991 as opposed to having to Open an image and fuss with help files and experiment with foreign-feeling controls. I will DEFINITELY check out the Grokking the gimp tutorial, though, and try to use it more. Thanks for pointing it out!! Nick
