This list has no archive. Probably for good reason. I follow the logic on that but I wonder what could be any worse than

So unless someone reads it via google mail there is no archive to which we can refer. at least no official one. I have been in this list since its beginning and I never throw anything away so I have my own archive. I suspect there are others too.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I was under the assumption that there is indeed a list archive. Or is this merely the archive as held by Google? We are often told to refer to 'the archive' via Google. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== Xmas may be over but, PLEASE DON'T drink and drive you'll make it to the next one that way. Quite possibly Damon :-) I've only had tea this morning but I had a very bad night. Ok, so is there not an archive for the OT list? It would seem strange if this is so. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== Xmas may be over but, PLEASE DON'T drink and drive you'll make it to the next one that way. The OT list is -NOT- archived, it is for ranting/venting only. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998

A weird type on thread hijack. The email contents belong to the OT list, but the headers trace it fully to the SLE list, in this particular thread. It could be a gmail bug worth investigating, if Kevanf1 remembers how he did it. On your question, the OT list is not archived by SuSE, it is an exception; thus, web spiders or whatever google uses to search the web will not find it - unless they themselves subscribe and archive it. The referral to "search the archive" via google, is because SuSE's archive is not searchable. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFD1oITtTMYHG2NR9URAv/xAKCZKr9QT2n0+9emF4Ne17jQEvtIYwCeN1nx IzZDZlZT1A0Kg6SXGOU5Dps= =aUtn -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
