Hello all, It is not true that these are "Wincards" because I have at least 20 of them in workstations in this office and they work just fine. I would look for a hardware conflict or some other reason. YaST1 and 2 work fine with these cards. You can use the tulip or old_tulip drive with them and they work fine. 00:0a.0 Ethernet controller: Lite-On Communications Inc LNE100TX (rev 20) Subsystem: Netgear FA310TX Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV-VGASnoop-ParErr-Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap- 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- Latency: 32 Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 5 Region 0: I/O ports at a400 Region 1: Memory at df800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) =>Windows. I did have a bit of trouble getting it to work once but then on reinstall of os it picked it up an worked just fine, once i had to choose the tulip driver.

Yes, we wondered about that when we looked at the card :)) Just that all of us have seen an increasing number of network cards that only work with MS Windows. We have even seen some very experienced networking people becoming very confused in front of us. Thank you -- Richard
