An annoying quote from the article: Dell will install the latest Red Hat Linux, version 6.1. For now, the factory installation applies only to Intel-based server products, not to workstations or desktops. Linux is a good operating system for entry-level servers that handle specific jobs such as Web hosting, Holt says. It doesn't support as many applications as some operating systems, but it's a robust alternative for a server dedicated to a specific job. Or "It's a nice little operating system, of course, if you only want it to do SIMPLE stuff!" FEH! How much does M$ spend on advertising there? -- Cheers, Bev = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = By the way, did you know that there's a Unitarian chapter of the Ku Klux Klan? They go around burning question marks on people's lawns. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
Hi All & Bev, yeah this annoyed me to. FUD, based on ignorance. NT more stable than Tux? BS. I just *LOL* when these types dis the gui'z too, as if TUX has none. Hell, UNIX had em first! Still, plans go well for world domination! ;-) Greek Geek. :-) Rembrandt is not to be compared in the painting of character with our extraordinarily gifted English artist, Mr. Rippingille. -- John Hunt, British editor, scholar and art critic Cerf/Navasky, "The Experts Speak" ===============================

Actually, MS-DOS had X windows then too. (I remember seeing X on DOS, and later being less than impressed with M$'s version) Still, plans go well for world domination! ;-)
