Hi, after installation of openSUSE 11.3 to Dell Vostro 1220 http://www.smolts.org/show?uuid=pub_b5e8a9b3-2a44-4453-8207-40f1ccc582b9 I found that after I plug headphones to the notebook, I still hear sound from internal speaker, but not from the headphones. It happens in KDE as well as in GNOME. When I boot from Ubuntu LIVE CD it works as expected. It did not happen when I was upgrading on ThinkPad. I'm not sure which information would help to solve it... I have actual system, nothing special. Also the hardware is ordinary... Any idea how to solve it? Did anyone faced it? Best regards,
Same problem on a Fujitsu-Siemens Esprimo. I thought that maybe I did something idiotic ... For me, it works with adding line options snd-hda-intel model=dell-vostro to /etc/modprobe.d/50-sound.conf $ cat /etc/modprobe.d/50-sound.conf options snd-hda-intel model=dell-vostro options snd slots=snd-hda-intel # u1Nb.5sSK4ZrAfsC:82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=631066#c4 But I do not know how should it be with Fujitsu...
