YOU online update via ftp problem: ERROR(Media:file not found) Couldn't cd to home
greetings, I have a small problem using YOU for online update through ftp (*not* anonymous ftp). I have use rsync to download the entire update directory for i386. When mounted via NFS, my YOU find it correctly and was able to apply the updates. However, if I change the server type from NFS to ftp (with currect password/user-id), I get the following error message: ERROR(Media:file not found) Couldn't cd to home I'm using vsftp and anonymous ftp *disabled*. I can ftp with local user no problem. any idea how I can solve this problem? I would like to share the update directory with other machines that I cannot share the NFS directly. tia, ______________________________________________________________________ Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca

I would configure the ftp server to log everything, including failed request and non existent files, so that you can determine what the client is asking for and not finding. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
