[opensuse] Will Webpin for 11.3 ever be fixed?
Guys, All I wanted to do was get a new bootsplash. So I go to webpin and type in bootsplash expecting the normal 20 or so. But *nothing* is indexed except: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/11.3/standard Why? I know there are many bootsplashs in build service, but how can I find them? -- David C. That page has an underlined blue link to "Search options" just like it has lots of other underlined blue links. The others all work; it doesn't. I wonder why? (ironic smiley here, for those who need it, or perhaps the word NOT) Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You da'man Patrick! I wouldn't have known about that search unless you mentioned it. I have been using webpin from the CLI for so long, it just seemed that that was to tool to use. Also, I must have missed the notice that webpin can no longer be used to search build service repos. But what is the problem with CLI webpin and http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ for 11.3? Works fine for 11.1, 11.2, but not 11.3? Two months ago we were told that the new webpin release would fix it. Then the new release came out and it still doesn't work?? We should consider dropping a note on the http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ advising that 11.3 searches do not work for build service packages.... -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. You apparently did not see Andreas J's reply earlier quoted above. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I read yours first :-) I'll file it and provide the number. After Will's reply, I thought this would have been taken care of without a formal bug report. See: Re: [opensuse] 11.3 webpin - still broken... 10/11/2010 5:22 am <quote> Apparently somebody rebooted the box and forgot to restart the service.... </quote> I checked after and I guess there was more of a problem that Will thought. We'll see what progress we can make with bugzilla. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
