RE: [SLE] Customizing SuSE installations...
Ive done it with SuSE 7.3 Pro. YaST1 features some 'auto install' options. Together with 'isolinux' I created our 'own' SuSE bootable CD that installs from scratch without user interference. It is also possible to adapt the rpm choice that are installed. However, I don't know how it works with SuSE 8.1. I suppose you must have a look at Alice. This is the auto install package from SuSE. Greetings LUGS,
Does anyone here know of a source whereas, i may be able to acquire some documentation to customize a SuSE installation?
In particular i am looking for resources to point me in the direction of altering the available rpm's, addition of a few sources, reconfiguring placement of tutorial documentation....maybe changing the splash screens to new ones from kde-look.org...etc....
I have read various releases of Redhat customization texts. But, since i have been running SuSe since 7.0; they don't help a bit.
;)
Thanks for any help available.

alice has been deprecated by AutoYaST2 in 8.0 Please have a look at /people/nashif/autoyast2 directory on ftp site (or mirror) Regards, -Kastus
