Hello, I've configured a Dynalink ISDN interface to connect to Internet. I'm using SuSE 6.4 and I've done this using yast and mode "auto". I'm able to connect to Internet just doing a ping, but I want to establish the connection manually, Does anybody know how to do it? I have another question, I want to allow some people to connect to Internet using Squid as a Proxy Server (without using the FireWall inside the kernel), but I want to do this dinamically, i.e. I want to write some kind of script that writes an ACL for an specific range of IP addresses but not for the rest, what do you think? Thanks in advance. Manuel Martínez Valls

'isdnctrl dial ippp0' to disconnect.... 'isdnctrl hangup ippp0' don't use the '' bits though. more info... isdnctrl --help also http://www.sheflug.co.uk/isdn.htm there's a link to a European ISDN site from that page. Thanks -- Richard http://www.sheflug.co.uk
Ok, Now I've got it working, but I have another doubt how to configure the second B channel to use it at 128K. Maybe using the command "isdnctrl addlink ippp0"? but do I need to configure something previusly? Thanks, Manuel Martínez Valls Richard wrote:

Multilink PPP is your friend :) If you look at man isdnctrl you'll see a comment about multilink. Do `addlink "name of the link" ' for multi-channel ISDN. I don't use it so I can't be more helpful than that. There is a German/English ISDN list that you can subscribe to if you want to ask more questions. Send mail to ..... majordomo@listserv.isdn4linux.de with "subscribe isdn4linux <your_e-mail_address>" in the body of the message. Thanks -- Richard
