Hi All This amaroK player is so nice. I installed a script on amaroK to display the Cover on my desktop. amaroK crash as i was doing to many things at once and that cover just sit on my desktop as black even when i rebbot. How can i close it. Regards Gerald

Posting the script might help, but try in a terminal running ps -ax | grep ama. This will show all currently running processes with ama in the name, very likely there are still components of amarok still running, if their are, then you can kill the process with the command "kill -9 (number of process)" Regards, Ben

Using signal 9 _only_ as a last resort. It precludes any possibility of the process cleaning up after itself. It is always best to try the default signal (SIGTERM = 15) first to at least give the program the opportunity to perform its clean-up operations. Only if that does not cause the process to terminate should SIGKILL (9) be used.
