Try it again. If it still doesn't work, try waiting a while (maybe a day). My experience with these is that they tend to clear up on their own. I recently re-installed dozens of packages and it took me several days because each time a signature error would be fixed on one module I'd get a signature error on another one. It took me about a week to get through all of it. I suspect these get put to some log file and someone maintaining the source library cleans them up (one at a time). Or maybe the error itself automatically sets up a fix to get run at some pre-determined interval. I don't know about SuSE packages, but in Oracle, a signature is a reference from one module to another. If module A calls module B, module A grabs the current timestamp and signature of module B and compile time. If module B changes afterward, then when module A calls it, it notices the timestamp (and maybe signature) error and either does a real time compile (local call) or it compiles it the second time you try to access it (remote call). Something along these lines seems to be what's going on when you get these signature errors in SuSE, just based on the way they tend to get resolved. Greg Wallace

Now i cannot connect anymore. Wherever they have openoffice files i cannot connect. Is this error on my computer or on SuSE servers? Thanks.

Are you getting an error message, or is it just stuck waiting for the list of patches? Maybe it's just heavy traffic. You might try hitting -- ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse Sometimes it takes a looong time to come back with the list of patches, but it should come back eventually. Greg Wallace
