It's the Virtual Desktop size setting in XFree's configuration file. Just make sure your real and virtual sizes are the same and it won't scroll around anymore. Ok, I admit it, I can't find it again and it's driving me "nuts!!" I found it before and now can't remember where the "switch" is! Somewhere in a script, I think, you can turn off window scrolling in X, so that your desktop is the full screen and no more.....where is it?
