[opensuse] problem with adsl
Hi, I configured my adsl connection, but it dous not work after reboot. If I try "ifup dsl0" it prints that "interface dsl0 is up" but "ifstatus dsl0" still prints "interface dsl0 is not available" and I am not connected to the internet. To make it working again I have to start yast lan, I do not change anything and press cancel. After that I can connect with ifup. It is very strange for me and I do not know what I should look for. I listed kernel modules and processes before and after "repairing" my dsl but there is no difference, just a joydev module was loaded. Has somebody an idea? thanks, fenor -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

this may not be your problem but i had a lack of ip when i first upgraded to 11.2 -- after going into yast and performing a configuration on my ethernet card i got and stayed connected it knew what cards are in my box, and when i configured the main one i didn't change anything, just accepted the default on every dialog -- i don't know why i had to jump through that particular hoop but it was scary not having ip until i did hth, sc -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
