[[[ To any NSA and FBI agents reading my email: please consider ]]] [[[ whether defending the US Constitution against all enemies, ]]] [[[ foreign or domestic, requires you to follow Snowden's example. ]]] Hello, I am new to the mailing-lists so please forgive me if I am in the wrong place. I have read the rules, and anything pertaining to the mailing-list already. I have tried to find a solution to this problem with no solution or answer whatsoever. So here is my problem. Minecraft Launcher 1.3.11 is not seeming to load Minecraft the actual game. I have everything installed running from Terminal. I can give the error codes, and the commands I used if they are needed. I was wondering if anyone could try to explain how exactly I should be running Minecraft on OpenSUSE 13.1 [20:52:11 INFO]: Client> Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main [20:52:11 ERROR]: java.io.IOException: Stream closed [20:52:11 ERROR]: Game ended with bad state (exit code 1) [20:52:11 INFO]: Deleting /home/matt/.minecraft/versions/1.6.4/1.6.4-natives-11828119729505 [20:52:11 INFO]: Ignoring visibility rule and showing launcher due to a game crash Thanks, Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That is your problem. How do you start Minecraft? The exact command line, please. My son was really into MC a while ago, I've got a Minecraft server running on my workstation every now and then :-) -- Per Jessen, Zürich (7.4°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Gee you are really helpful man, sorry for doing what I was told in the forums and other mailing-lists. Hope you have a "great" day too *censored*

Did you read Per's response? He asked you to tell us how you try to start the application. I don't use MC, but I see from your earlier posts that it's a Java program. My experience is that Java programs are very sensitive about their library locations and the current working directory. So, if you could tell us EXACTLY what you do to execute the program and supply ALL input and output (including the command which is "too long to be put in a [sic] email") either in an email or on a pastebin service, we might be able to give you some insight.

I apologize, I miss read the message, then again I can barely read things on my iPhone. I thought the reply was sending a different message.I was also sick that day, which explains my horrible response. I have managed to get Minecraft 1.5.2 and earlier working. However when I try anything newer it just puts out those error codes. I am using this command to start the Minecraft 1.3.11 Launcher. "java -jar Minecraft.jar" I am not running it as root, and I run this command in the Guake dropdown terminal.

I don't know the latter but when you run "java -jar Minecraft.jar", is Minecraft.jar in your current directory? If it is, I would double check it, maybe it was corrupted when downloaded. Maybe just get another one and try that. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (13.8°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
