Or a bad batch of drives. I wonder if they have sequential (or even just closely grouped) serial numbers? If I were the SAN manufacturer, I'd be classifying this as a 'catastrophic failure' and a replacement would already be on the way. :-) Really. I worked in the high capacity RISC/*NIX memory and storage subsystems industry for several years.
