With previous versions it was possible to pre-order. Now that is not the case or am I looking in the wrong direction? Also there used to be a Pro and an Update version. Will that still be the same, or is there only one version? houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

I'm assuming that as the price has been dropped it'll just be one. Obviously this is me talking of the top of my head so it could be rubbish. have fun Marcus -- Photos : www.flickr.com/photos/marcusc Blog : marcusbrain.blogspot.com `The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. I can pre-order it already here in the Netherlands http://shop.mensys.nl/cgi-bin/db2www/mns_art2.d2w/report?catname=SuSELinux&username=&i1=&o=&x=14:17:11&Search=SUSE&C=400 I've ordered from these guys in the past... I can't remeber if you're in BE or in the NL.. so dont' know if this link is any good to you. Also, the Computercollectief have it http://www.comcol.nl/detail/sicxlc03.htm#56160 I ordered from them for 9.3, and they delivered it the day 9.3 was released. C.

Well, it was not so much for me personally as it was a general question. I looked at the Belgian stores and none had it. I think it is strange, because the FTP version will be online the same moment it hits the store, it will keep people away from buying. There used to be a short time that people wanted the latest version and could not wait for the FTP version.

I love what they say there: Translation: temporarily from 94,90 for 64.90 (54.54 ex TVA) houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

If it's not available right away, I can definitely see people doing an FTP install and not bothering with the CD set. For me though, I'd much rather have the DVD/CDs even though I have a 10Mbit internet connection and could FTP it. I install SUSE on a lot of machines (home, work, friends) and I'd be lost without my master DVD. I can't rely on fast internet outside of my house... I never know what people have - it's scary how many people are still on dialup or ISDN here... and I also carry it with me when I go to Kenya - I've got one computer there (and maybe more on the next trip) that runs SUSE (for almost 2 years now) :-) C.

http://www.opensuse.org/Making_a_DVD_from_CDs The following will also work for making your own DVD. Nice if you want to include MPlayer and other stuff on your own master DVD: http://www.opensuse.org/1_CD_install#How_to_create_your_own_1_CD_install houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

So, an update version, with only cds & dvds will not be available?. In foreign countries, without the weight of printed manuals, is cheaper the shipping. -- -.Francisco Acosta.- chesco@idea.com.py

Ah. No Admin guide? So that is the real reason it is cheaper. You get an update version with a User guide instead of an admin guide. Only one manual. Can anybody confirm that there is no Admin guide? houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html
