www.suse.com ? novelled ?
www.suse.com & www.suse.de are unreachable from IP connection. www.suse.com points to Turing.suse.de so the connection to suse.de is up. Anyone else able to hit via the web ? Thanks

They must be doing some kind of maintenance. I can ftp to ftp.suse.com\de but no www.suse.com\de. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org

Anyone else able to hit via the web ? I tried YOU earlier. MY laptop (9.0) was set to get the list of servers, and it hung, but I was able to kill it, and download from leo.org. No luck on the web.
BTW: I can ping www.suse.com (Turing.suse.de). Could be that Apache took the night off to watch the NFL football playoffs. - -- Jerry Feldman <gaf@blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/94zJ+wA+1cUGHqkRAjzfAJ9qstb1gfUU4xjO8cwb+r6pSx66igCffjPc VaxbqRpm/mvr2kM1KQGvGG4= =t7IS -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Just tried to go to www.suse.com and got nothing but a blank stare from my web browser. Just a wild guess here, but could the server be down? :-) Don Henson
I suppose that they are down. www.suse.com and www.suse.de is down, but ftp.suse.com is up. Yes, they seem to be back up and running normally. - -- Jerry Feldman <gaf@blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/+CCB+wA+1cUGHqkRApYzAJ9lm1gPBnXg8yY1utMUNopodj9gsgCeJ59M cWWRdQ00NB3zw7fdNCD89Aw= =Y2A9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

ALL of SUSE plus some other sites went down last night. I suspect a router crashed somewhere. Fred -- "...Linux, MS-DOS, and Windows XP (also known as the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly)."
