Dear Chris, Swap the memory from the working PC. Swap ALL the memory. Try running the memtest option for at least 12 hours. Most memory vendors accept the memtest output as proof of defective memory. Ive come across a weird one that I cannot solve. Virgin 8.2 install on ECS K7S5A board (256 Megs RAM) continually and repeatedly segfaults durring stage two of the boot process (when the gui pops up) as it cannot find us.keymap.tgz.map

I have tried all install options from the menu and then some including manual, burned the cds to another media type etc etc.

What is strange is that I have two such machines. This one Im typing on same motherboard and its loaded with absolutely no issues. The other machine, segfaults routinely.

Any suggestions or ideas on what to look for or try next?? Last thing to try is to swap out the CDROM but the current one is rather stock one.
