What can I say? Bill does make a nice mouse ;-) I upgraded my windows manager so that I could use my intellimouse. I got the middle button working for the midle button of a three button mouse. I don't know what to expect regarding the wheel funcitonality though. In Win-Dos NT I can scroll using the wheel when running netscape. This is not working in suse. Any ideas?
AFAIK, the next version of XFree (3.3.2) supports mice with wheels.

Stefan,
Thats what it says. I installed 3.3.2. My wheel now works as button 2. I don't know if there are any Linux programs that understand a wheel. That is basically my question. How would I know if it works?

Set it up under xf86config (sever 3.3.2) under Logitich mouseman, checked netscape for wheel action....nada...what model do you have and what are your setting if I may ask? You can post tp site or email me directly if you preferr. TIA CHRIS -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
