Certainly anything it finds is not well protected, but it may miss some obvious things.

I don't recall if it retrieves fetchmail or thunderbird passwords.

According to its GitHub page, it does retrieve Thunderbird passwords (see https://github.com/AlessandroZ/LaZagne). It does not retrieve Claws Mail passwords, although there is a tool for that (see https://github.com/b4n/clawsmail-password-decrypter).
