[opensuse] What the hell happened to Novell Bugzilla? The MicroFocus Reporting form is Garbage
All, Am I at the right place or has bugzilla.novell been hijacked? I'm at http://support.novell.com/additional/bugreport.html?ref=h and this form is crap. This isn't even a place for release or component input. I don't mean to rant, but this looks more like a generic trouble ticket entry form rather than a software bug report. Is there a way to reach the old bug interface?? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I tried choosing Linux and was redirected to https://www.suse.com/support/ There isn't a link to bugzilla that I can find. I submitted the bug report for: "Leap 42.1 - disconnected NFS connection hangs boot - Forever..." with that form, but have no idea what number it is because I was never shown a copy of the report and was never presented a link to return to the report. That is some bizarre bug system. Hopefully the bug will get to whereever it should go. I used my normal login I've use for the past 15 years and that is where it directed me. Strange stuff. It was like I was lost in some corporate intranet twilight zone... -- David C. Thank you Per! I looked all over https://www.opensuse.org/ and NOWHERE is there is link to bugzilla. Just two big emblems TUMBLEWEED LEAP on the page and a bunch of totally unintelligible garbage when you try to navigate the menu. Have the webdev team lost their blinking minds...??? I'll re-file at the bugzilla.opensuse page. Sheesh, why isn't there a clear path to that page from opensuse.org? I've wasted 30 minutes dorking with something that should be a simple (clear) link from either novell.com, suse.com or opensuse.org. -- David C. No mainstream Linux distribution has a link to their bug tracker on their home page of the Project. Luckily there are lots of places you can find help on filing bugs for openSUSE Such as: http://bfy.tw/5yAs or http://bugs.opensuse.org or https://en.opensuse.org/Special:Search?search=bug or https://en.opensuse.org/Report_bugs or https://www.reddit.com/r/openSUSE/ (bug reporting link on the right hand side) or https://en.opensuse.org/Submitting_Bug_Reports -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

While this is -- interestingly -- true for many of the distributions that pride themselves as developers' focused or »back to technology« attitude, there's one notable exception: Debian, as in www.debian.org, Bug reports is in the 4th column on their home page. And one might want to call Debian »not a mainstream Linux distribution«, as few folks use it directly, but I wouldn't dare to do so... ;-) Cheers, Joachim PS: I'm a Debian user, too. Don't cite the last paragraph against me. ;-/ -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Joachim Schrod, Roedermark, Germany Email: jschrod@acm.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
