[opensuse] Installing R (R-base)
I've managed to install the R statistical package (R-base) from openSuse 10.2 (I'm running SLED 10.2.) It's taken a week and a half to get to this point. R runs but if I try to do any graphics, it tells me the "X11" module cannot be loaded. When I've installed R on other distros, all you had to do was install R and the graphics came along. If any one has any idea on how to fix this, I would appreciate hearing about it. Please notice that in this list, if you say "10.2" people will assume opensuse 10.2. If you mean SLED 10 SP 2, say so, because 10.2 is confussing. This list is mostly for opensuse.

Have you configured the X server and graphics mode? - -- Cheers, Carlos E. What else could SLED 10.2 mean? Yes, of course I have a graphical X windows system. Rick B. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Please remember that this is not an SLED mail list: many of us do not use it, maybe not even tried it, and we are not familiar with its nomenclature and peculiarities. For me, 10.2 is a very diferent thing.
Yes, of course I have a graphical X windows system.
You might call support, then... SLED has paid support included, AFAIK. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. That product does not exist! There is SLED 10 (with possible service packs 1 or 2) *or* openSUSE 10.2. Philipp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
