Hi. First I want to thank you all that have helped me with the USB-Printer problem. To you all, here are what SuSE Support answered me to my question for the subject: It is a perfectly correct way to solve this problem. Since SuSE Linux 7.3 there is the new "hotplug" stuff especially to automatically load required USB kernel modules. This doesn't work always correctly on some computers. Therefore at your system the "hotplug" stuff doesn't load the kernel module "printer" automatically but modprobe printer in /init.d/boot.local does this. I would recoomend to use "modprobe" instead of "insmod" because modprobe takes care of module dependencies. -- Med venlig hilsen - best regards Erik Jakobsen -erik@urbakken.dk - Vy 73 OZ4KK Powered by SuSE linux 7.3
