[SuSE Linux] how to boot SuSE 5.3 cd from SCSI cdrom?
I looked over the install manual, but nothing except "you may need to copy over to hard drive and install from there if your SCSI adapter is not supported..." I have an Advansys 940 UW that is supported by RedHat, and a Toshiba SCSI CDROM. Do I just need to specify the device, as in "/dev/scd0" when the message comes out "cannot mount CD!" and try again? I am right now searching SuSE SDB for more info... Thanks for the help! - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
Did you load the kernel module for the SCSI adaptor?
