[opensuse] font problem
List, I have a small font problem in openSUSE 11.0 with KDE 3.5. I did some adjustments of the default fonts, just changing them to the other font and different sizes, but now in some applications fonts look kind of bold. For example gmail in firefox (also in konqueror) looks like all the fonts are in bold, same with skype. in root's account they are fine though. I tried to change DPI to 96(didn't change anything) and changing to 120 even got them bigger. Any ideas where I can change it? That, and not to mention that the fonts in many of the KDE3 Control Center modules are 3 pts. larger that the fonts are set to. I have also noticed what you describe, but I don't have enough valid, specific information to file a bug report yet. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E. David, I got rid of the "bold" fonts in applications by following this link, so the problem was that I was missing the Microsoft fonts. (I manually installed the fonts I needed though, so I wouldn't think that might be a problem) http://www.benkevan.com/blog/installing-microsoft-fonts-on-opensuse-110/ With Control Center everything is fine for me, but in opensuse updater and in yast fonts indeed seem to be a bit bigger now.
