[opensuse] yahoo webcam chat in action
HI list For those of you who, as I, need yahoo ((and msn)) webcam chat working on linux to bring the remaining family members to open source: have a look at this IM yahoo client. You'll see what a webcam yahoo chat is under linux. It's a fork of the old gyachE enhanced. IT's written using the gtk+ toolkit and is far the most advanced yahoo client I have ever used in my many years as a linux user. You can get it from its website: http://gyachi.sourceforge.net, as there are packages for SUSE 10.1 or directly from one of the sourceforge.net mirrors, say: http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gyachi/gyachi-1.0.5-6suse.i586.rp... You'd better also install a patched libjasper lib, available from there too: http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gyachi/libjasper-1.701.0-18suse.i... You just need a working webcam(mine is a common logitech quickam); so install, tell gyachi in the setting page which is your correct video device, play a little to lern and enjoy thanks jorge Note that I am not a gyachi developer; just a suse user, and lately, a happy gyachi user :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

tks,
Yes, it was announced recently that the single CPU kernel was killed, and that in future all kernels would be SMP capable Anders --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Still having tooo many prob's with 10.1 on a productive system to experiment with 'factory', tks. At present, my system is relatively stable, _finally_. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
