I am using dyndns.org successfully but haven't heard of ddt. When I got interested in dyndns.org I went to freshmeat.net and did a search on Dynamic DNS. This turned up a whole slew of projects. I downloaded a few, read about them and then tried one. ipcheck is a python script, and here is a link, but I suggest you investigate some others too. http://freshmeat.net/projects/ipcheck/?topic_id=149 I did happen to run across ddt, and it says it is apparently for updating dtdns.org clients. Each of the dynamic dns services have different ways of updating and ddt looks like it only updates the dtdns.org way.

I use addns. It's a perl script and set's up itself pretty much.
