My old 1200 baud modem did better than than with z-modem??
and is probably a mirror problem rather than your slow internet connection and audio connected 75 baud modem. did you try listing several *specific* mirrors in your repo.file? -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

ps: 83 B/s is pretty good for a 75 baud modem -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It looks like download.opensuse.org is the issue. You can connect, then it may just spin for minutes before it feeds any data. Hopefully it isn't the side effect of the bug causing endless certificate generation... It's all above my inet pay grade, so somebody else will have to figure it out. -- David C. Seems like including DOO, particularly first listed, would defeat the purpose of having the others. Did you speed test any of the others before choosing the order? My primary fallback has been gwdg for a decade, followed by erlangen. I'm somewhere around 1,000 miles south of you. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science. I haven't needed to/taken the time to determine. I used to have problems with doo not being able to connect *anywhere*, but above has solved that. presently listening to "Malt Shop Favorites" on directv (late '50s, early '60s radio). I *was* somewhat younger then. :) -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
