SuSE v6.4, new installation. Suddenly, immediately after I got the system to recognize my ethernet card starting XWindows with startx forces a reboot into MSDOS. I had successfully configured XWindows with sax. Very annoying, to say the least. I'd appreciate pointers towards a solution to the problem. Thanks in advance. Stephen P. It doesn't boot to MSDOS. It just takes you back to the text console. Obviously you misconfigured X-Window. Post the contents of ~/.X.err (that's in your home directory). Maybe then someone here can help you.
