The suse's build (suse 8.2) of glibc-2.3.2 is not good!
Hello, I trying to start kavdaemon on suse 8.2. It's not posible, but it posible whith redhat or other distro with glibc-2.3.2! I have change this lib and got good result. SuSE! What do you think? Would you like to release an apdates to glibc-2.3.2 and stable gcc 3.3 too? Thank you all. Robik

I doubt this. I would assume, that kavdaemon is static linked against glibc 2.2.x. Due to a internal glibc interface change, glibc 2.2.x will not work with glibc 2.3.2 NSS modules. If kavdaemon is static linked, this is the problem. Static linked programs are not allowed to ues NSS functions.
I have change this lib and got good result.
