hi all, i'm using suse6.4 & it has sendmail-8.9.3. Though i've downloaded the latest v11, i haven't install it coz i don't want to loose v8.9.3 b4 i learn something up. to cut the story short, i followed Sendmail 2nd ed, by bryan costales with Eric Allman. everything went smoothly up to chapter 12. when i want to test the options under chapter 13, %/usr/lib/sendmail -Cclient.cf root ==even when i change 'root' to 'root@my.domain' also the same error occurred it returned: buildaddr: no mailer in parsed address. pls help? there's no warning at all in the book(v7) that anything wrong can happened. pls shed some light on how to rectify/adjust my 'client.cf'. ..i've declared : Mlocal, P=/usr/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMaw5:/|@qSPfhn9, S=Hubset, $=0, T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix, A=procmail -a $h -d $u #copied from sendmail.cf in Suse6.4 Mhub, P=[IPC], s=Hubset, r=0, F=mDFMuXa, T=DNS/RFC822/SMTP, A=IPC $h P.S. 1.my machine is not online yet. i'm accessing the internet thru my Lan. -but this shouldn't coz a problem since i mail to local users. 2.when i browse thru among the subcategories of sendmail faq, i can't find this error. will be glad to hear from u for any advice. pls let me know if other sections are wrong instead of the one i copied out. thanks in advance for your help. tk ===== 0Oo~~:o) Smile!
