That sounds like you have problems with kernel 2.2 related changes, not with distro-differences. Some things have changed with 2.2, that's nothing to do with the distribution. -- Michael Hasenstein <A HREF="http://www.csn.tu-chemnitz.de/~mha/"><A HREF="http://www.csn.tu-chemnitz.de/~mha/</A">http://www.csn.tu-chemnitz.de/~mha/</A</A>> Private Pilot (ASEL) since 1998 -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
Dear Michael, I think it's best to publish a page that show's the programs that have changed in suse 6.1 from kernel 2.2.5 to 2.2.7? Than people can upgrade their system to a 'higher level'. I don't think that so many packages have changed. Can it be that a new build generates new rpm packages even to they are not of a newer version? I'm looking forward to a page with the packages that are really updated. Regards, Joop Boonen. I think this will be the best way. I will at least show people what the current situation is.
