Hello: I would like to test my microphone in pulseaudio. All info I found say that I have to load manually the loopback module in a terminal to hear the microphone, and after testing unload the module. Isn't there a GUI tool which has button for testing/hearing the microphone? I don't even understand why this option is not part of pavucontrol of some other pulseaudio GUI program. Thanks, Istvan

How about use the audacity? BTW. Are you still using the pure pulseaudio system? If so, please install the pipeware packages. This will definitely provide you marvelous sounds.
