Yesterday I upgraded from 15.3 to 15.4 from a usb stick. That went smoothly enough, but there is something strange afoot wrt the handling of some graphics files, in particular jp(e)g, png and tiff files. They are displayed as empty folders in the file manager (tested in Plasma X11, Icewm and Gnome) and gwenview cannot open them. They can be opened by Okular and Gimp and properly processed, so it is only a minor nuisance. Yet I would like to know what could possibly cause this and repair this. They are properly recognized by the CLI command "file". Any suggestions are welcome. Regards, -- Jos van Kan registered Linux user #152704
