Why do I have to enter "media://media/dvdrecorder" in the konqueror URL instead of just "/media/dvdrecorder" to view the files on the audio cdrom? Reason I ask, using the gtkpod to copy files to the ipod, I get no files from "/media/dvdrecorder" when I want to copy them to the ipod. Art

At one time before the automount with USB you could as I recall. If you can't mount a cdrom, how can I get gtkpod to recognize it then. I can open it with Sound Juicer or amarok though. What is the secret? Art

I've been using SuSE since 6.2, and until now audio cds have never been mountable (like a data cd is.).

As I said previously, it uses a special protocol to view audio cds (like media::/). I am not at all familiar with gtkpod to know how it works, Just pointing out the differences in your original question. I would assume gtkpod uses some media protocol to view an audio cd. HTH.

Does audiocd:// still work in Konqueror? While not mountable, it is the next best thing. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB
