[SuSE Linux] This is a test. Please ignore.
For your enjoyment, an excerpt from my personal chronicles... -- To kick things off, I found out that only kernel 2.0.34 and newer systems were *known* to run my SiiG SCSI card well, so I fired up my browser, called up the Caldera and SuSE web sites to get some more info. Caldera 1.3 uses 2.0.35 and SuSE 5.3/6.0 use 2.0.36. Cool. I called up LinuxMall (if you don't know about these guys, you must check out www.linuxmall.com *immediately* after you stop reading this), ordered COL 1.3 by LinuxMall and SuSE 6.0 by LinuxMall ($1.89 each! Don't spend six hours getting the ISO image and fiddle with trying to burn your own disc, call these guys!), and thought, "What the hell. Red Hat Power Tools sounds good..." I was right about those power tools, btw. Ever stay up until 4:30AM on a school night looking for that lib.so.obscure package? It's on those disks... Well, one complaint about LinuxMall, SuSE 6.0 is still four weeks out, but instead of automatically sending me 5.3 in it's place, I had to order it separately (I added a Slackware 3.6 disk set, for Bren, which made my SuSE 5.3 disk free). -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | SuSE Linux 6.0 jon_pennington@excite.com | Kernel 2.2.5 Kansas City, Missouri, USA | K6-2 350 _______________________________________________________ Get your free, private email at <A HREF="http://mail.excite.com/</A">http://mail.excite.com/</A> -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
