[S.u.S.E. Linux] Linux databases with OS/2 or Java clients
<PRE> Does anybody know of a Linux database (really needs to have commercial support) with either Java or OS/2 clients? I know Adabas won't have a full java client until (I've been told) 1Q99 or so, and the Informix port is still mainly a rumor. (and wouldn't be ready until at least then anyway) Do the Adabas windows clients (from experience) run well under Win-OS2 (preferably both Warp 3 and 4, though just Warp 4 would be okay too) Another option would possibly be DB2 for SCO running under iBCS... has anybody had success (or failure) with this? I'm not sure I like the idea too much though, especially if they (later) only support Unixware (or whatever the latest iteration from SCO is called) Cost is not a major issue, but stability and either OS/2 or Java clients is.
