[opensuse] basic desktop/x usage question -- how can I change my mouse select from doubleclick to single?
I'm sure this is pretty basic, but I looked in yast, and all I saw there was changing the mouse for use on the text console. So how do I change my x-related apps to run off single-click instead of taking a double click. I learned ages ago that double clicks really aggravate my RSI -- so much so that double clicks become difficult to execute -- don't want to get to that point again, so could someone point me at the config magic I can use to use hover for select and single click to execute? Isn't that controlled by the de being used? On August 9, 2014 11:23:35 PM PDT, Linda Walsh <suse@tlinx.org> wrote:

My de is set for that. But I'm thinking 'X' doesn't respect windows desktop settings... ;-/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Linda, In KDE4, to set Focus Under Mouse, it's Gecko -> Configure Desktop -> Window Behavior. Switch back to 'Overview' and select Input Devices -> Mouse to set single click. hth & regards, Carl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

---- Thanks! will startup kde4 and set the default, though what if an application is gnome based? Does it still work? Guess I'll find out...;^) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I don't find anything in X to set this. In all likelihood that must be set within the window manager settings, typically under mouse, control panel or user interface or whatever the window manager calls it. jd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
