check feature in the kernel

As long as you enabled the config.gz file, yes.
gunzip -c /proc/config.gz | less
Not him, but SuSE, ie, the people that generated that kernel binary. And SuSE does enable the /proc/config.gz pseudo file since... perhaps version 8 something. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
