Seasons greetings to all at the KDE User List and SuSE Linux English List
I have successfully installed all the KDE2 updates since Beta 3 and now have 2.1beta 1 installed on a SuSe 7.0 system. The system actually runs very well but, for completeness, there is one item niggling me.
In Control Centre, System, Login Manager I have set up the Graphical Log In but have not been able to find a way to implement it. I still get KDM from KDE 1 appearing on boot up. Using Yast 1 I have the option of KDM, XDM or GDM as the choice.
There is probably a configuration file I need to edit somewhere. Could anyone point me in the right direction and, indeed, what is the KDE2 Login manager called (KDM2 perhaps)
/opt/kde2/bin/kdm There was someone on this list that recently posted some instructions on how to do this. You might search the archives for Nov and Dec. I didn't try it because the one or two new whistles added to the kde2 version didn't excite me. -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com
