[SLE] Intel video phone help please
Happy holidays all, I received an intel pc camera pack (and cable internet connection) for Christmas and am having problems. I have the camera loaded on my wife's windoz box. I am using ipmasq on my linux box for cable internet connection for the house. I can send upstream audio and video but I can't receive any downstream traffic. I understand that there is some sort of problem due to the H.323 protcol for video conferencing. If anybody has any ideas or comments, please let me know. I am using Intels software (Windows) that came with it, the linux box is SuSE6.3, kernel 2.2.13. TIA PS - Is there any chance of moving the camera from the windoz box to linux? It is an USB connection. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

You need to use the H323 module. I have it on my web page. http://www.georgetoft.com/LRP You will have to edit /lib/modules/2.0.36/modules.dep to get it to work. Just follow the example shown with the other ip_masq modules. OBTW - this module only works with 2.0 kernels. Efforts to get it to work under 2.2 are in progress. Go here to read more: http://members.home.net/ipmasq/ Good luck finding anywhere else! I guess I forgot to spam the list last week when I got NetMeeting to work using the Linux Router Project. My only claim to fame with this module is that I got it to work with the Linux Router Project and my Red Hat 5.2 router. -- George Toft http://www.georgetoft.com The more I use Linux, the harder Windows becomes to use. Point and click software is too restrictive and difficult to do anything productive with. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
