Well, I've been using Sun's JDK 1.3 for about 2 weeks now. I didn't put it to any rigorous testing but it seems to work fine. I was just a bit worried since I had read in several places (including SUN's site) that SUsE was not supported with the SDK version 1.3. I'm looking to install an IDE now. I tried to install Fortee4Java CE 1.0.2. It installed OK but can't get it to start. It finds JAVA_PATH fine but says it can't find the projects folder. I'd like to get this going or if there's a better IDE out there, I'm open to suggestion. Thanks

Have you given VisualAge for Java 3.0 a look-see? -- Scientific theories, according to Sir Karl Popper, can be "falsified," or proven wrong, by experiment. Unscientific theories -Marxist dialectical history and Freudian psychology were Popper's favorites- are formed in such a way that they cannot be falsified by data.

Hi,

I didn't like Forte, have you looked at Borland's JBuilder, best by far. IBM's Visual Age is also OK, especially if you are an 'IBM' shop, but it is leagues behind JBuilder. Cheers Phil
