Hi, people. Copy to `feedback@suse.com', hoping this is the correct thing to do for reporting a problem. With SuSE 8.2, installing the `python-japanese' package prevents Python from starting, as Python invariably yields an ImportError in `site.py'. I got around the problem through commenting (adding an `#' before) the only line in `/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/japanese.pth'. This is probably more a kludge than any real solution. -- François Pinard http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~pinard
