Ok, I seem to have fu*&ed up and the machine hangs when booting at: Scanning for LVM volume groups... Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while... I am writing from another machine, so maybe the reply doesn't match. I did install both the kernel and the nvidia rpm available. Then I restarted the machine and it seems to start all right until it gets to a point where it says: intel8x0: clocking to 48000 It then seems to slow down extremely. After that point it loads kernel modules, activates the device Mapper, starts MD Raid, and finally hangs when reading the physical volumes. I tried to restart and load the last kernel, but obviously that does not happen as it hangs at the same point. What can I do now? Kostas
